Default Help!!! Looking for beard (Santa) type fabric

I am making a Santa wall hanging and have seen it made with a white cotton fabric that looked just like a beard. I have no idea where they bought/found the fabric. Can anyone help? It was not a fleece or furry type fabric...just plain cotton. It looked sort of like little grey type whisps on the white making it look just like a beard.

I know if I find it it will be someone on this board that will direct me to it. Thanks!

Sounds like roving to me. Here is a link to wool roving on eBay:

Here's a link to a small amount on eBay:

I don't have any, but I know what your looking for, and its not wool roving, its cotton fabric like she said, with a swirl design, that resembles a beard.

You might have luck looking through white on white patterned fabric. You could also use white fabric and fabric markers to make your own.

Or look for a grey ... I have one that is a grey on white that I often think looks like Santa's beard!

Yes, I was going to say that the Jinny Beyer 'beard' fabric is the classic one that's been around since the 1990s.
I used up the last tiny bit of mine four years ago and had not seen it since.

The link Prism99 posted above is a slightly changed print/color from her original, but certainly workable.

I would look at cloud fabric as a section may resemble the beard.

Years ago Debbie Mumm had some that was two sided with a different pattern on each side (I think it was her)
