I can't find my DVD on quilting with this machine. I attached the foot, dropped the feed dogs , changed the tension and when I attempt to quilt, I end up with a bird nest on the back. What settings are you using? I know I need to get a new DVD, but with Dh STILL having to be treated for leg/foot and now sister in hosp, I just don't have time to do it now.
Trying to quilt some UFO's in the little time I have and now this. HELP!!!!

Are you bringing the bobbin thread up first, and holding onto to both threads for the first couple of stitches? :D:D:D

Try rethreading the entire machine. Reset the bobbin too. Sometime thats all it takes to fix it.
If that doesn't help, go to the brother website and you should be able to download a manual for your machine

I have the same machine. I quilt with the setting at stitch "1". Holding both threads at the start of sewing prevents birds nests for me.
