Default Help me choose a colour.....

Hi Everyone

I have these three fabrics in my stash and I want to use them in a baby quilt. The main colour is not quite orange but also not quite yellow, sort of a cross between the two. What other colours do you think I could use that would go well with these?

Fabrics look nice together. If you can find a solid or strip in that orange/yellow, I would add that. I would say the kind of tan in the flower fabric but that might look too heavy for a baby quilt.

Something to make it broghten and pop. HOw about fabric with complimentary colors (blues/violets). Look at your color wheel for ideas.

If you want a quiet quilt then I would add a light beige. If you want a brighter idea then a solid yellow like the flower fabric.

I'm with Marand, go for opposite of the color wheel, cool blues or greens.

Yellow and gray seems to be a popular color combination.

I think teal would add a nice pop to this quilt.

You're kind of set up to do sort of a monotone. You take the same color and vary the shade. Some get very dark which gives you contrast but also is the same color.
Go to a paint store or home depot with a sample of your fabric and select a paint card that matches your fabric and gives you the variations in shade. Then find colors that match the different shades on that card. I think it could be really neat.

What color is the middle of the flowers? I'm hoping it's a warm brown. You could use that color. If it's black, you could use it. But I'd be afraid it turn into a Halloween quilt unless you use another color, say...a soft pink?

Some variation of the tan flower center. Doesn't have to match, just be in the same color family.

A very tiny border of some other color....teal maybe?

It kind of depends on what you want. I like the idea of all the same colors, makes it seem peaceful.
