I would make a red flange then the dark blue border. Such cute fabric!

If I were making this quilt, I would use the yellow to help the blocks "pop". Darling quilt...

Very cute quilt, I like a contrasting border to separate the quilt center.
I have some of the Mickey fabric, Made youngest Daughter a comforter and still have some scraps of it left.

I vote for the yellow. If you have enough, you could make a double border, yellow first then then blue. I think the checks would make it too busy, but as you can see, we all have our preferences.

Pick what YOU like and go with that! :)

Or, (after looking at it again) if you have any of that gray? fabric you could do a gray and then blue.

I would use the checked print but put a thin yellow border before it.
