help me out
#1
I am leaving tomorrow for a 10 day vacation. My nieghbor is going to take in our mail for us. She doesn't enjoy food. But ,since she is just starting to learn to quilt I thought that it might be fun to bring her home some fabric from Central America. If I am able to find some pretty fabric...how much do you think I should buy? What would be a thoughtful amount that she could make a runner or other small item with? Thanks for your help!

They use meters so I would say maybe 2 one meter cuts would be great. Meters are a little longer than yards. Dyes might not be permanent so you would want to warn her about colors running. I've never been to Central America so I'm just guessing. Have a wonderful vacation.

I'm not sure they have fat quarters in Central America. But I'm sure they have some lovely fabrics. I would bring back a few different kinds of fabric in whatever size they sell them. It doesn't have to be enough for a whole quilt. It can be used as part of a project.
Where in Central America are you going? I'm headed for El Salvador next month.
