Can you order by manufacturer from either of these sites? I like their prices but can't find how to order specific fabrics by manufacturer on either site. Thanks.

Not sure about Connecting threads, but on 1000's of bolts, which I just got an order today, and I also placed another order today, under find a fabric, there is a place for expanded search that has keywords, manufacturer etc. Hopefully that can help you.

I think Connecting Threads only sells their own fabric.

On 1000's of Bolts website cli on Find a Fabric (across the top), click on Expanded Search, and there is a drop-down box for Manufacturer.

Connecting Threads just sell their own fabric.

Connecting Threads sells their own fabric, so no, you cannot order by manufacturer.

I was looking for three different collections that I had seen on the Moda site. They are current and on the shelf in my LQS. I was hoping to find them at a better price at 1,000s of bolts but they are not on their site. I wonder if they only have the older collections and that is why they can offer them cheaper. On another note, is the fabric at connecting threads a good quality? Does it appear to be as thick and have a similar hand as the major manufacturers?

Be aware that the manufacturers often make several grades in the same pattern--I learned that the hard way! You can usually order samples, but then sometimes the fabric is all gone if you want to order.....

There are a lot of threads about CT quality. A lot of people think their fabric is great, but many people, myself included, think the quality is lacking. You'll only know if you find it acceptable if you order a bit and check it out for yourself. Try placing a small order and see what you think. You can always place a large order later if you like what you see.
