Default Does your Guild have a Web Page?

Our quilt guild is thinking about having a Web page and we don't really know where to start. We are a small guild of around 35 members so low cost is important. We would also like to be able to add pictures or to be able to update info ourselves. I am the president of our guild so I would like to do this during my term of office. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Our small guild uses a blog on wordpress. One of the members takes pictures at each meeting/event and posts them.

Our guild uses a yahoo group but I don't think it's very user friendly. We have over 80 members & a few people have "worked" on creating a web page the last few years, but it always gets put on the back burner.

Our guild of 90+ members has a "real" web designer (former member now living at home in Germany) -- it is her current part-time business, but she does ours as a favor. http://www.patchesandpieces.org/

I'd go the Yahoo Group way ... it isn't really that difficult to set up...

I found a modern guild to attend next week by their blog... I'm so glad they have one! I think a blog would meet your needs and be really user friendly for your members. This is the one I found this week:

I put the club I belong to up on Facebook- I know many are not happy with Facebook- but the price is right, everyone can see it without joining and it is fairly easy to use and update

Here is a web page from a large guild I used to belong to, maybe you can get some ideas from it.

Thank you for your input. I plan on taking this information to our next board meeting. I have enjoyed looking at the different links you have provided. Thanks again! Kathy
