I also saw a disappearing nine patch in all lights (whites/beiges) that came out beautiful and with a look similar to Creme Brulee. Normally that is not my favorite pattern but it was beautiful in those colors.

Your daughter needs to explain what exactly she wants. I suspect she means a "cheater cloth" quilt that is printed to show quilt blocks.

A whole cloth top is just that-------------one whole cloth.

Pieced is just that----------pieces to make a top.

Can't have both in one piece.

I always thought a whole cloth was one solid piece of fabric like the hand quilted white on white quilt that I did. Will have to watch this for the pieced ones...It is new to me.

check out fossil fern there is enough irregular pattern to satisfy a change in colour etc--some batiks may also work
