Sew 'N Sew

When using quilting thread in the needle, the bobbin thread gets all tangled and bunched up. Can someone suggest what the problem may be? Thanks in advance.

What kind of thread do you have in the bobbin? Do you have the same kind in there? If it's thicker or heavier than what you normally use in the bobbin, you'll need to loosen the bobbin tension.

my question also would be what kind of thread are you using in bobbin and as top thread. probably shouldnt use hand quilting thread on either

Quilting thread should not be used for machine quilting. That is probably the problem.

Are you sure it is the bobbin thread that is bunching? If it is big loops it is probably the top thread and it is probably not in the tension disc correctly. Make sure you thread the top thread with the pressure foot in the up position.

As always when you have thread issues re-thread everything completely.....

Are you holding onto both threads when making your first few stitches?
Do you need to change your needle?
Is your bobbin area clean?
Do you have the bobbin in correctly?
Did you have the presser foot lowered? :D:D:D

I would suggest to start over with a new needle and thread both upper and bobbin thread from scratch. My machine acts up if all the parts were not in the proper position for threading or if the thread jumps the track.
