Default Selling a quilt do you?

Morning Everyone, I have a question on whether you prewash your quilts before you sell them? Reason I ask, is most times I use spray baste, glue on the binding, starch ect...... Thanks for all your input.

I'd wash them if for no other reason that if there is a lose thread or seam that comes undone, I'd rather be the one to see it, not the person getting the quilt.

Yes. I want it very clean , smelling nice, and crinkled the way it will be when they wash it. It'd make some folks cry to see their quilt do that in the dryer if they didn't know it's normal.

If you don't want the crinkled look, you can block your quilt slightly damp from the dryer. This is what I do if the quilt is going on display.

I always wash my quilts, whether gifted, donated or sold. I want the crinkly look so recipient doesn't think they messed it up by washing it.

I do. I only make baby quilts & I want them to be clean when received. Also, I wash so client knows it's supposed to crinkle & not think they "ruined" their little one's quilt by laundering it.

Haven't sold any, but give a lot away and always wash them first.

I Always wash my finished quilts it is the final step to finishing. Binding done, wash, dry, done. I would never sell , gift or keep a quilt that hasn't had all those ( additives) removed.
