Do you have suggestions for getting rid of the spots? Four tiny pinhead sized spots- 3 in one area and one about 3 feet away. I called one of my buddies and she suggested using white fabric paint. Has anyone used paint to hide a spot? I can't tell what type of spot it is! Should I try a little dawn with Qtip?
Depending on what the spots are, adding water may spread them. I might try the Qtip onthe spot by itself and see if comes out BUT what colour is the backing? If it is a solid dark colour on the back it may leave a stain. I might try a tiny dot of liquid white out on a spot but try it at on the quikt edge to see if the white out matches the white fabric first.
Thanks, Tartan. Gave the dawn a shot with no luck as the backing is light. I tried the liquid white out on scrap and was too bright and dried hard. I did pick up the white fabric paint at WM and it worked like a charm. BUT I used a Qtip to apply to scrap and it was too large. So I got out the very slender paintbrushes I have had for ???? years (with the plastic tube to cover the bristles- otherwise it would get ruined in storing it) and barely cover the tip- about the size of a pin head. Yeah!
I have also used the fabric markers to cover spots -- there are several different types of tips - and they work well. Have also used them when I was quilting with white thread and wanted to have the thread match each of the different colors in the fabric -- I ironed them in before washing and they worked beautifully.

you don't say if the spot is blood or something else... If it is YOUR blood... then use YOUR OWN saliva to soak a couple of times... it will eat it away so that regular laundry soap and water will remove the residue. It must be the saliva of the person whose blood it is. If it is anything else... use one part Dawn to two parts hydrogen peroxide. spray or daub on and then wash after the treatment.
