Default help/suggestions needed.

i need to make 4 fancy set squares for the border of this quilt:

i have this fabric, used for the centres of the stars that i don't feel i gave enough time or space to in the quilt itself. i have looked for tips on working with jinny beyer large prints and can only find border print tips. i don't have much of the border print left, and it was a miniature so the largest band was 1.75". these will form concentric borders for the whole quilt. i would be willing to buy a kaleidoscope ruler or something similar, try something new...anything. i really want to show off this fabric, but am stumped.

thanks so much!

aileen

It's beautiful fabric! I would cut large borders so as not to loose its gorgeous design!!

That fabric is just too fabulous to cut! I'd either use it for large borders or the backing and then find something else with a smaller repeat for your setting squares.

Fabric is too beautiful to cut. Quilt top is also lovely.

I myself, like the material as a whole peice. I dont think I would cut it up. I like the whole piece ideal, cause it looks good with your quilt top. Nice top

That's a beautiful swoon. I personally would use the other gorgeous fabric for the back and let the blocks shine for what they are.

OH that is a beautiful print on this fabric. Where did you purchase it? Do you know the name of the fabric? Love your blocks. I would hate to cut up that beautiful print unless you have a ton of it. Waiting for your reply. I would like to get some of this print. BrendaK

Hate to chime in with everyone else, but sometimes JB fabric is so gorgeous there really isn't any reason to cut it. Let the blocks be the center of attention with your fabric framing them.
