There is so much information collectively on this board that I thought I might ask for help in locating some fabric...

I want to make a quilt using shantung silk but I cant seem to find an online shop that sells it with a wide variety of colors. I did find one site "JBR" but at 18-20 dollars a yard AND a one yard minium cut on each fabric, I've not yet placed an order. Does anyone out there know a good source for silk that does not require a one yard purchase per fabric?

Any help would be wonderful...Thanks
Mikki

Not online, but I have found that international district stores (aka China town) or sari shops in areas with a large population of Indians are great sources for really lovely and reasonably priced silks. I'm lucky -- there is a sari shop about 10 miles from me that carries amazing silk, sometimes at $10 /yard.
