    Hello everyone,
I am new to the boards and I need your help. I came down here to NM to help my mother care for my father who had cancer. He passed away Dec. 1st and with all thoughts running on auto we can not find 2 quilt patterns we both fell in love with.
One evening we were elbow deep in our comfort food of choice...Quilting magazines. We came across 2 quilts we loved, one was called Fenced in chickens and the other was something railroad crossing. We even looked at the chicken one with a magnifying glass to see the detail of the fabric. She had used a fabric that worked great as chicken wire though it was not. The other one I believe had 9"white squares that alternated with a printed white that gave a pattern within the quilt patern. It had a spectacular purple floral border. The purple quilt came first in the magazine on the left and the chicken was a little further in but on the right side.
If anyone remembers seeing these quilts and what magazine they where in we would be in your debt.
I have searched on line for weeks with no luck at all.

    Hoping you can help,
    Jeanne

Welcome from Southern California. I'm sorry about the loss of your father. I don't know what pattern you are looking for, but hope you find it

Welcome, Jeanne, from a very snowy New Hampshire. Because only you know what the chicken quilt looked like, I can't search for the image...but you can. It's often much easier than any other way to search for a pattern. Give it a try...and good luck. If you find the image, it should lead you to the magazine. http://images.google.com/images?hl=e...num=1&ct=title
