Do you have an embroidery machine? could you embroider either by hand or machine a flower and then frame it in a simple block design?

How about a paper pieced block. Check Quilter's Cache. They have 6" blocks (I am assuming you meant 6.5 unfinished, 6" finished?)

What is everyone else doing? I assume that a similar idea is frowned on?

Choose a season...and make an appliquéd design....like Hallowe'en, Easter, Xmas, New Years....whatever fits your lifestyle.

I would also go to the Quilters Cache to find a block that you like! That site has so many to choose from!

we are doing a row of the month in one of the threads and June was very easy to do as were some of the others. Here is the link if you would like to check out each month to see if any appeal to you. Fair warning, January was fairly complicated as it has many small parts. You can see each month at this website: http://www.claudiasquiltshoppe.com/freebom.htm
