I made a prayer quilt and wrote a message on it with permanent fabric marker. He passed away before I got it to him. Is there any way to get the message off so I can give it to someone else?

I use hairspray to get ink off uniforms or lab coats.

Give to someone in his family as a rememberance of him. Seems like it woul be bad karma to give to someone else.
