Help! Where does the water stop???

Use the red line as your stopping point. Everything beyond that seems to be opposite bank of the stream the horses are enjoying.

I think that where the red line is, is where she already stopped quilting. That's why it looks like a horizon line... I would maybe do a little more in the front section between the grasses. And as someone else said, a little outlining on the grasses and trees, and around the horses.

Beautiful! I agree with the red line. It seems like fog or something on the opposite side.

I would do it just below the red line. Then you're not sure if the water is moving toward or away from the shoreline. IMO

Thanks everyone for your advice, now at least I have a few different eyes looking at this quilt and that helps so much.. I guess I will go beck to quilting .. Thanks so much..

Looks great where you stopped quilting, good job. You could change the quilting to go above and around the horses as a different type of design to separate the sky from the water. Very cool.

Since Water seeks its own level, your red line must be straight. We don't see uneven shore lines like your red line, so redraw your line straight. Your work (and panel) is lovely and your quilting is superb.

I agree with Bear and Bree. Bree's red lines would be the perfect spot to finish the water. Going to be beautiful.
