Help! Zigzag stitch problem Janome 8200 Memorycraft

    Hello Quilters,
I am still learning my way around my Janome MemoryCraft 8200 but I was happily zigzag stitching tonight and now all of a sudden the stitches are on the wrong side of the fabric. That is, the pretty zigzag is on the underneath of what I'm sewing. I have no idea why this is happening. I have rethreaded about 6 times. Turned the machine on and off. Reset the factory defaults. Looked at the tension. Perused the manual. I have no idea what I've done. Does anyone have any ideas? Please help!
    Thanks.

The ZigZag stitch whould look the same on the top as on the bottom of your stitching.

My first thought would be that your tension needs resetting.

A picture would help, but it sounds like the top thread is being pulled to the back. It would do this if the top tension was too loose. I'm thinking you have something (fluff, tiny bit of thread) caught in your tension discs which is keeping them from applying the correct amount of tension. Un thread, lift the presser foot to take the tension off the discs and floss using a strong thread.
