I had never thought of using my old, dull rotary cutter blades for paper until hearing about it at a quilting class. I finally bought an inexpensive rotary cutter and marked it "paper" with a Sharpee and use it exclusively for that purpose.

While wrapping Christmas gifts this year it dawned on me to use my paper rotary cutter to cut the wrapping paper. I just wrap my gifts right on top of my large cutting mat, having the paper cutter and a couple of my rulers nearby. It is so much easier than cutting with an old scissors!

Yes I also do this and it makes wrapping so much easier!

Good idea! I am wrapping packages this year with Xmas fabric (quilting, of course!) and asking the recipients (none are quilters) if I can have the fabric back! (most are family members, so no problem asking for it back!). It saves the trash etc etc and saves me money buying. The exception are the gifts I sent over-seas (although, in retrospect, most went to Vanuatu and I am going back in March, so I guess I could have asked them to save it for me).

If you don't get the fabric back, it would be a great excuse to buy more fabric!
