To me it looks more like a ripple afgan pattern.

I would consider it a bargello. This is a good starting point in designing any number of pattern of bargello.
You can start making your blocks smaller as you go across the quilt. You could make the second vertical row 4 1/2 inches, third row 3 in. and so on down to about 1/2 in. and then increase back to the 5 in. Them repeat. You would have to make more vertical row to get the same width.

That is a Christmas Cathedral Window Quilt that I have in my UFO's for many many years. I used to work on it in December and on our vacation trips at Christmas. Then put it away one year and haven't go it out again.

Trip Around the World isn't diamonds; it is squares. You start with a middle square of some color, put four squares of a different color around it (one touching each side of the original square) and then repeat, surrounding each round with a different color. You can use as many colors as you like, or only three....

Eagerbeez, Thanks for designing this Bargello. It saved me alot of time and planning. The counts on the right are a great addition. This is one of the quilts that I plan to do in 2011.
Thanks, again for your efforts. Eiltcoq.
