The gal who owns our LQS, can appraise quilts. So I asked your shop & they may recommend someone.

If you were to go to your local quilt shop (LQS), then they might also know someone who does appraisals.

You would find the LQS by doing a Google search, or looking in the phone book. The information is out there. ;-)

Hi Dan, I grew up in Fairborn and there is a guild that meets at the Fbn Senior Center. The Stitching Post in Centerville may be able to help you also.

You could also Google Quilt Shops in Ohio or Quilt Guilds in Ohio.

BTW, where did you go to school? My Dad is retired AF and my family is still in Fbn, Kettering.

Thanks Ellen-----I did college in Adrian, Mich and I graduated from high school in Danville, ILL. I moved around a lot as a kid and did schools in Ind., Sidney, Mich, Ontario and Ill------that was enough---just got here to Fairborn in 1997

Well, I had to ask since it's always fun to reconnect after so many years. And there are so many Yankees down here that the southerners don't like to admit to!
Good luck with your search for an appraiser. You could drive down to Paducah, KY this weekend - big quilt show this weekend.

Was the maple leaf quilt, part of your Ontario residency?

You've been given a lot of good info ... good luck!
