My guest room doubles as my sewing room so I think this would be perfect, mounted in the wall(recessed) about sitting height near my sewing station. Anyone have one? It would come to $182.00 with free shipping from Lowes. I like that it swivels. I also think it would be great for paper piecing ironing. Of course I'd have to keep my full size ironing board in the closet as this one would be way to small for large projects. What do you think?

That is a wonderful space saving idea :D:D:D
I would like to see how sturdy it is though...as there isn't any support for the board anywhere but the swivel end. If this is a particle board it may not last long with a lot of use. These may be made with the idea of occasional use.

I saw one at Lowes (a different unit) it was unfinshed oak or I probably would have bought it. I think it looks pretty sturdy. Since it's a small/mini board it would only be capable of smaller projects and less weight on it, I'm sure.

I used to have a similiar one in my kitchen (before quilting) and it was very sturdy. It is a small board tho and would probably be great for pressing seams, but I do not think you would be able to press any yardage. I eventually took the board out of mine and made it a spice cabinet!

i have one and they are good mine has a timer and everyting stays inside so shut the door and done

I have one of those, I love it. It doesn't take up that precious floor space.

I decorated the door of mine so I could add photos and keepsakes.

I saw one like at Lowe's at a friend's house and it was so neat. Everything in her sewing room was so cool.

I think they're pretty cool. Thanks for the photos. I'm mainly looking for a way to bypass me having to jump up and down every few seconds to press a seam. In paper piecing this is a constant battle. And in jumping up every few seconds I invariably trip over the dog, get my legs tangled in the chair etc. Mainly, the dog is driving me nuts. He follows my every movement and can't quite get the drift that I'm not leaving the room and he doesn't need to shadow me to the ironing board and back. I figured a wall recessed one or mounted one would be very handy.
