    Default Holy FW Batman!

As I was laying in bed this morning my son came in and said "Mommy, look what Daddy found in the trash"....not thinking anything of it I rolled over and sorta cocked open one eye...just as my son plopped a beautiful little featherweight down next to me! I attempted to attach a picture hopefully it went through and someone may be able to tell me a little bit about it. I'm not sure where to find the serial number or anything

Wow! Did it have the foot pedal and cord with it too? That is a very nice find! Plug it in and see if it works. You can get replacement parts on ebay.

It does have the cord and pedal. Also the case but that is way beyond repair. I'm actually a bit afraid to plug it in since it was sitting outside and was quite frosty when he brought it in. I think I'm going to let it rest for a few days.

Wow! What a way to start the day! Congratulations. I just started using my FW and I absolutely love her. I think you can find the serial number on the bottom. Here is link to help you find when it was made: http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...-database.html.

Found the serial number and it looks like she is from March of 1936. :-)

I have one featherweight which I love, but look from time to time for one made in 1936 as that's the year I was born!
Glad they saved this for you!!
