I have that machine and you will be spoiled in no time with the thread cutter and the way the presser foot automatically lifts at the end of stitching...I love mine! Look at your take up lever and make sure there is a little black thingy attached to it...it is an upgrade they are supposed to put on all of them free of charge because without it the thread jumps out of the take up. When I brought mine home they forgot to do that and I called the store and told them what it was doing and they said, oh my gosh, you must have gotten away with one that was not upgraded. It is a wonderful machine and I really, really enjoy mine, you will too! Get the walking foot if it isn't coming in the quilt package...it is fantastic!
