Default Houston here I come

Going to the 2014 International Quilt Festival in Houston. Picking up my sister in San Antonio and staying with my sister in the Houston area. What a great weekend time with 2 sisters and all going to the Quilt Festival.

That sounds like so much fun! I used to go to the Road to CA show with my sister - we always had a great time.
Enjoy it!

I'm going with two of my best friends. No husbands, no jobs, just girl friends. Quilting road trip, quilt show and friends...does it get any better than this?

I'm leaving Wed. morning with a couple of ladies from my quilt group -- I'm so excited to get away with
quilters -- the best folks in the world. It will be a great time.

DH and I are going, we only have a day to go through it. Second visit, overwhelmed the first time.

Welcome to Houston everyone. Unfortunately, my sister who lives in Arizona won't be joining me this year, but I've got quilter friends who I will be periodically meeting up with. It's a great time, tho' for a one day trip it is kind of overwhelming. I always suggest planning on two days -- one for viewing and one for shopping. I heard that there are over 1,000 vendors this year, and they come from all over the world. Sunday is a great day to luck into bargains, because many vendors don't want to pack all their stuff up, so mark it down a lot.
