I want to make a wall hanging of 4 napkins my mom embroidered many years ago. I want to attach them to a backing and back the napkins with a different colored fabric and then attach to the backing material. I don't know how to attach the napkins. They are crocheted all around and I want to do it by hand. Someone suggested to fold tne crocheting under but then I lose the color. Any suggestions?

Not sure I am understanding you correctly, but here's what I would do. I would create the backing as one piece first, then place the embroidered napkins on top of the backing. I would hand sew the crocheted edges to the backing (no need to turn the crocheted edges under).
