I would just go to the library and start checking out books for beginner quilters or something. GOOD LUCK!

Use the library for now, so you can get more fabric, you will pick books up as you go along. I started out with 1 book, now I have a libary myself!

Your First Quilt Book...or it should be by Carol Doak
Quilter's Complete Guide by Fons & Porter
Quilts, Quilts, Quilts by Diana McClun and Laura Nownes
I used all 3 and they are great!
When you search the title on Amazon...they offer a link to used ones at good prices.

I recently got the Better Homes and Gardens Complete Guide to Quilting. It is a hardback with rings in side, lays flat, lots of pictures and excellent written information. It is laid out in a very logical and orderly manner.

I also have the Fons and Porter book.

Thanks for getting back to me. If you could only have ONE of them, which would you recommend?
