Default How can I quilt the border?

Hello,

I wasn't here for a long time. Other things have taken more time.

Now I will finish one of my quilts, I have quilted the blocks in the seam and with straight lines, I hope you can see it.
But I have no idea how to quilt the border. Also with straight lines or geometric. Or completely different, like feathers.

Thanks for your help.

Karina

Lovely hand quilted quilt! It has a traditional look, so feathers would be a nice addition on the border.

No help with the border but I love the fabrics you used and the pattern. Would love to see the whole thing!

Feathers or a nice cable design would look nice.

I was thinking a nice cable design as well. I think it will soften the basket blocks a bit.

I don't think feathers will show up on the front of the quilt because of the print in the fabric. I would treat myself a little kinder and go with something a little easier. You could draw the lines out from the patterns you used and see what you think of that. I would use wax paper so you can see what you are drawing and how it would look. Good luck and please show us the final completed quilt.

I have a hand quilting template that is a cable and feathers crisis crossing each other that would look great on this quilt border because it is pretty wide. I'm not real sure it would show up that great though because of the business of the fabric. I think the cable alone would look perfect here. Nice quilt and lovely hand quilting! You should be very proud of this quilt!

I think the Baptist fan would look nice.

Since it is a busy print, I don't think your quilting will be showcased. But, I want to say what a lovely quilt you have there. I just love baskets.
