I don't think you need to quilt anything in a 1" border, just be sure to SITD.

I am always confused as to the borders....say your border is 2" wide by 72" long and your batting calls for quilting 8 inches apart....does that mean I need to cross the border at least every 8"?

i either don't do small ones or do a rope looking thing 3'' ..loop to the left 3'' loop to the right
