I buy it by the roll/bolt ... I like to keep cotton batting and hobbs 80/20 on hand. For cotton I like the "Soft and Crafty" type... I've used warm and natural and quilters dream too. I can't see a real difference and the price is good on the Soft and Crafty brand. I also just got a good deal on a smaller bolt of black batting from Joann's online.

I buy my batting by the bolt from BattMart. I also pick up individual batts from Connecting Threads when they have sales - like Hobbs wool & black batts.
