Default How do you clean your machine?

Just curious how you clean your sewing machine. I know not to clean with canned air, I usually just take my paintbrush and wipe out and around things, including the chase and gears. How about you?

I used to use paintbrush and/or Qtips. Now I mostly use pipe cleaners.
I can reach almost anywhere with them.

I use the accessories that came with the machine and get my vacuum once in awhile. Attach a knee high to the end of it so nothing goes where it isn't suppose to. I also have a magnet pen telescope with a mirror to see if I miss anything. Like EasyPeezy I also use a pipe cleaner to reach those hard tight areas.

I use a paintbrush and a pipe cleaner too. I just hope it is good enough.

I use an air compressor. When I did take it to have it professional cleaned I wasn't charged because it was so clean. He checked it all over, and come to find out he uses an air compressor. My machines are not computerized, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I bought the attachments for my canister vacuum cleaner. Mostly I use paint brush and two machine brushes. I wipe all I can reach with a kleenex. I no longer take my machines for cleanings. Last time they didn't clean it. I will only take them for service, when they stop working. I have two straight stitch only machines that I use al the time.

Camelhair brush, brush that came with machine, Rocket Blower, and vacuum with those attachments for a thorough cleanout.

Another vote for pipe cleaners, they can reach in deep and around things.

Same here plus dental floss on the tension area to remove lint hidden in them.
