I just back up from abusing my credit card in Springfield! First I went to Hancocks, bought batting (30 % off) and a tote - 50 % off. Then it was across the street and down a ways to another fabric shop. He has Hobbs 80/20 for 6.99 yard and it was either 96 or 108 wide - I forgot----I bought a whole lot more there too! His fabrics are still usually 3.99 per yard - great selection too!

Just a quick note, if you need more batting, Connecting Threads has Hobbs 80/20 for sale (30% off). They have all sizes. If you spend $50 shipping is free. I got 3 king size pkgs (120 x 120 each) for $60.

Sounds like you had a good day. Got some pics of your purchases?

There is also a great shop on the corner of Fremont and Sunshine called FM that has great prices. It is closeouts, last years etc. but great prices. They have an entire room of home decor fabs in very contempory looks that I use for bags and aprons.

I have been there too. The zippers are really reasonable too as I have several projects I use them in; not a lot of colors to choose from but @ $.25 each I can live with the contrasting zipper in my small makeup totes. I try to stop in every time we make our trip from SD to MO to see our DGS and his parents.

No - I didn't take any pictures but in his "back room" he had a group of cottons for 1.99 per yard.
