I don't even own a pair of jeans, but I do wear slacks and some times a sweatshirt or heavy sweater as the church is not always as warm as I like, in the summer I wear capri's and casual shirt with sandals. In winter its sneaks. We all wear what is comfortable.

I'm retired, too, but when I say I have to change before going anywhere - it's change from PJs to real clothes - jeans, tees and sneakers. I do love being retired!

LOL, we have ladies dressed up and dressed down at our meetings. I don't think it really matters as long as you are comfortable.

"The Walmart"?????? Do you mean Wally World? I remember my mother dressing up to go downtown - white gloves and all. I never cared to dress up. It itched due to all the starch.

As long as it's clean and I can't get busted for indecent exposure (I have jeans that are almost all patch by now - could find a new hole at any time) I'll wear it. Chacos, Tevas, and Keen sneakers.

I wear whatever not in the laundry hamper or the washing machine. I save the dry clean long formal wear for church

I'd ask someone in the group what is their practice. They sound like nice ladies and don't care what you wear. Since I'm retired, I wear what is clean and fits. Keep meaning to start ironing my stuff, but too many things get in the way.

It may rub off on me to gussy up a little, I was getting rather lax in that department and really didn't think about it until being around them.

I don't go to a guild meeting...but....if I did, my "uniform" would be the same thing it's been for the last six years since I retired: jeans, T-shirt or sweatshirt and nice (read expensive) "sneakers"....in my mind, if they were good enough for Italy, they're good enough for here at home!
