I know this has been discussed before....I really want to make a tumbling blocks quilt, but I really don't want to do the Y seams. I have found some info on making strips, but I am looking for something that is really explicit in instructions. Can someone give me some helpful information? Maybe with a visual?

I just drafted a pattern using squares and triangles. I would be glad to share if you PM me.

Kaye Wood does a method using 60 degree triangles. I have a top finished using this method and still need to work on my bias edge skills, but am pleased with how it turned out.

I vote for the Marci Baker way - I love her ruler and all of the things you can do with it. I found her patterns/books to be very good

Marci Baker is the author of this book/method. She also has a good tutorial on you-tube. It's all strip pieced.
