The end of next week I will going to look at a TL 98 Q with a Gracie II frame (no stitch regulator), plus some accessories like several feet & pattern templates (assuming that is pantographs) for around $1000. The lady that has it for sale says that she bought it in 2008 and has only done 5 quilts on it & she says it is in excellent "like new" condition. She decided that although she likes to sew she doesn't like frame quilting. She will be out of town for a few days & then I will get to see it. I've been looking for a set up that will fit my small sewing room. Does anyone have this set up or close to it? Likes or Dislikes? Can you tell me anything that I should look for when I see it? Wish me luck. I'll let everyone know if I get it.

Sounds like a deal. Check the space requirements, though. You need to be able to get to all sides of the frame.

I just sold one for $800 WITH a stitch regulator. I used it for over a year and really liked it. (My SIL used for 3 years) The only problem I had was getting the tension set, but once I did, no problems. It really needs to be cleaned yearly. The stitch regulator is over $500.
The frame I had was a B-Line that would make to 10ft. Check out and see what the cost for the frame and machine cost new and then decide if it's a good buy. Be sure and try it out and see how smooth it sews.

That price does seem a bit high for a used machine with no regulator.
