    Wow! I use a 1:1 solution of Sta-Flo and water and my fabric comes out with the stiffness of lightweight cardstock! I can't imagine why yours turned out differently. There are only two things I can even suggest: (1) allow the fabric to sit for a little while before tossing in the dryer, so the starch has a chance to penetrate the fibers better, and/or (2) use Sta-Flo straight, without diluting with water. I did #2 once but did not like the result; also, it seemed to me that without any water the starch had a tendency to lie on top of the fabric instead of being absorbed into the fibers.

    I'd like to make my own starch eventually, but in the meantime I like the non-aerosol Niagra.

    Just remember not to store starched fabrics for an extended period of time - bugs love to eat it.
