Does anyone know a pattern called Chains of Love? It is suppose to be a Double Wedding Ring Pattern that has no curves, or so I have been told. I am a beginner but a family member wants a DWR quilt. Everything I have read about DWR quilts says it is not a beginner's quilt. Any ideas???

Have you tried the Lover's knot, it's like the DWR but straight lines

I agree with Pstoner, the lovers knot by Eleanor Burns would be lovely. Try this link:

Darn - I wish I knew this on Saturday when I was over at Prairie Star Quilts! I would have looked for you! I'm working on one of her patterns now (Shiloh Topper), and I can tell you the instructions are very clear and easy to understand. I'd buy another one, no problem.

We were there for the Quilt Show - they have pics on their Photos of Interest page. The website is http://www.prairiestarquilts.com/

You might also look for "Rings that Bind" by Cheryl Phillips. It is a quilt as you go Double Wedding Ring that even a beginner can manage and the book usually comes with the arc tool. The end result is fantastic and looks like the "real" thing from the front.

Search for Cheryl Phillips on http://www.hgtv.com and you'll come up with the videos that show how she constructs it.

Quilt in A Day has a double wedding ring that you sew onto fusible fabric. makes it a lot easier  Maybe look into that
