How to enlarge pattern
I found a great handbag pattern, but its too small 8x10x4. i like to know how to make it larger. approximately 15". it was a very eary pattern and i have not found another. appreciate your help.

Are the directions for cutting out squares/rectangles of fabric or is it an actual pattern? If it is the former (squares/rectangles) - then I would add the extra inches to the length and width (so if you actually want it to be 15 x 15 - then you would add 7 inches one way and 5 inches the other). I have made some easy totes and that is what I have done. Mine was a simple pattern cutting out rectangles of fabric for the outside and for the lining.

Tell us the pattern name or show us a picture. Some patterns are easier than others. I've done as Dawn has. It's easy if it's a square pattern.
I have recently made an Amy Butler Birdie Sling tote. I'm on the tall side and wanted longer handles. The handles flare out next to the tote so I added several inches in the center and it did not interfere with the design.

You could use http://online.rapidresizer.com/ It will let you enlarge the pattern on your computer, printing it across multiple pages

I'm a huge fan of posterazor. I have used it a lot for enlarging quilt designs - especially paper pieced ones

The current pattern is 8"X10"X4", you said you wanted it to be about 15". I'm assuming (maybe incorrectly) that you want the original 10" dimension to be enlarged to 15". Do you want all the dimensions enlarged proportionally? So the new bag would be 12X15X6 or do you just want one dimension enlarged??? makes a big difference in how you would enlarge it. Also if you just enlarge the pattern with a copier, you need to remove the seam allowance first enlarge it then add the seam allowance back on.
