I agree with Debbie C, find out if the quilt can be delivered to their home or parents home prior to the wedding. If the gifts are opened at the reception it would make it difficult to get the quilt back in it's wrapping, and transporting it. Plus it could get dirty. Maybe you could make some matching pillowcases or shams and take them to the wedding and stick a photo of the quilt inside with them.

I like the clothes hamper idea or the pillowcase. I embroider all my new pillowcases with a monogram then I store the sheet sets inside.

great ideas! I like to wrap things in usable items - baby gifts in a receiving blanket, bridal showers gifts in kitchen towels, teen gifts in beach towels. I like the idea of getting a twin bed sheet from a discount store (perhaps a print that is funny to them) and making a storage bag out of it. You can custom fit it and if you make it with a large flap, it will be easy for them to fold over and tuck for storage. (I pick up single twin sheets for a variety of uses from a discount shop for $5 - $8 each - often less than the large amount of wrapping paper needed.)

I would not take it to the wedding. I drop gifts off at the house prior or after the wedding. Why risk it?

I found large beach bags for one wedding quilt and also gave one in a large, rolling cooler--with both 2 gifts in one. Most young couples will need some storage containers for their homes, so even a plastic tub or footlocker with a huge bow would be nice, too.
