Every now and again, I email Joann and beg for a location to pop up in my town and guess what I got in my inbox this morning....

drum roll please...
Dear Deb,

The store in Huntsville is scheduled to open in March 2011

Josh
Guest Services.

Further detective skills has determined that the location will be on University Dr in Huntsville, AL - next to Earth Fare. There will also be a powerhouse gym going up as well... I'm really happy that something is going to go in those empty buildings and I'm even happier that there will be a Joanns in town! Yay!

Okay. I just had to say that.
I feel better now :-D

Glad to hear this news. DS and DIL live in Athens, she will be so happy. She works in Huntsville. Thanks for sharing this news.

This is great news! In spite of the fact that I live in the northern part of Lincoln county, Huntsville is still closer than Nashville and I'm in Huntsville regularly to get my hair cut. (and it will make it easier for me to visit Earth Fare!)
thanks for sharing!

A whole bunch of us have been email-begging Joann's for a store closer than an hour away and we always get the same discouraging response - no plans for your area. (My immediate area supported THREE Rag Shops, all of them busy; now we don't even have Walmart). How nice that your wish was granted. Enjoy having the store right there, especially on a rainy day, when you've just run out of thread, and you need it right away, and you can just run over to Joann's.................

Well, it's still an hour from me - but that's better than an hour and a half!
