I have 10, nine of them still sew. One is a Singer treadle, one Featherweight, one Barlett from the mid 1800s. The Vibrating Shuttle machine will sew, but I don't use it, it is decoration only. The machines I use - a workhorse 1974 Kenmore, a Brother PC7500, Pfaff 7550, Janome Gem Gold, a New Home Serger and an A-1 Longarm.

Hmmm… let me see. My most recent acquisition is my Juki 2010Q. At about the same time, I bought my long-awaited Featherweight (usually referred to as "Stinky" LOL; I should have waited longer to make that purchase… but that’s a whole ‘nother story, as they say). As far as other vintage machines, I have a 1913 Singer 66 and a 1955 Singer 99.

The non-vintage herd consists of a Singer Quantum L-500, a Singer Featherweight 75, a Singer One Plus, and a Singer 160th Anniversary Edition. I have two Brother embroidery machines (SE 270D and PE 700 II) and one Brother portable machine (CS 8060), one mechanical no-frills Kenmore Model 16231, and a Singer Ultralock 4-thread serger.

These days I mostly use the Featherweight and the 99 for piecing, the Juki for FMQ and general sewing, and the Quantum for when I need fancy or zig-zag stitches. Actually, the majority of my non-vintage herd will be up for sale shortly, because I want to replace my Quantum with a Juki quilters’ edition machine.

And yes, all of my machines have names.
