I went to a craft show today and saw someone selling the bowtuck purses for $50.00 each. Is that a good price ?

I've never made one but from the ones I've seen on this board I'd say 50 bucks is cheap! They look like a lot of work to make.

From what I've read on the board, it costs $20.00 on up to make one, so $50.00 is right on target.
Kind Regards,
MaryAnna

Really? I made one in one night. IMHO They are fun and easy to make!

See, I thought $50 was way too much.

I've sold mine for $40 ... I think $50 is a little high.

I think $45 - 50 is about right. It also depends on the cost of your materials and don't forget your time. The batik one I made was high in costs and I bought the fusible fleece from a different store and it was twice the price as the stuff at Wal-Mart (same brand and everything).

Mine wasn't to hard to make but I have seen them posted to sell for $45.00 so they were pretty close to right priced.

Most are selling for 75$ in this area in Boutiques. They are a lot of work. I've made 2 and they aren't for sale.

location dependent that is probably a very reasonable price. around here purses average between $50 and $75 (and on up of course) i pretty much sell all my purses for $50...not because i think they are worth that much but because i hate making them and always think if i tell this person $50 they will say never mind...doesn't seem to work...maybe i should be saying $75....i can sell purses as fast as i make them...i just hate making them so it takes an act of congress to get one from me......i guess i go through phases, if i decide to make one i will make 3 or 4...get rid of them then not make any again for as long as possible until that next '''oh-please''' comes along
