A neighbor lady saw one of the oven dresses I made for a friend for Christmas. She called me wanting to buy at least 4 of them. How much do you think I should charge her for making them?

You need to consider the cost of materials and the amount of labor it takes to make one.

Could it be an apron?

Are those the dresses that go on the oven?? Used as a towel?

When I make stuff like that...I charge 3 x the cost of materials. That seems to be the going rate on handmade items in Texas....(in my experience).

When I saw them at a craft show they were $10. Don't know if that is fair or not.

Thanks all. I was thinking around $4.00 or $5.00 each. Maybe I am short changing myself. I seem to go way low on things I make & sell. But then again, I do live in a low income area.
