Default Old pattern

About 6 years ago I watched 2 quilters making a double sided tablecloth, with same pattern different colours each side. It was quilt. As you go but no batting/wadding.
I remember it was from an old magazine which may have gone back even further. I can't contact these people so help.
I thought it would also make a very light weight quilt

I would think any quilt as you go pattern could be done this way, just pick one and give it a try.

As long as any two tops without batting are the same size, you could "birth" them and have your tablecloth. They wouldn't need binding this way.

I had thought of these ideas but the one I saw made was made as they went both sides quilt as you go.
