Default Batting Question/Rec Needed

I have only used low loft batting with 1/4 inch thickness and 100% cotton, but I would like to try a batting with a slightly higher loft so that it puffs a little after being quilted and drapes more than the low loft. I am guessing something that is an 80/20 cotton blend. I would appreciate any recommendations that can be offered. Thanks so much.

Hobbs 80/20 is a good brand that I have used. My preference is for thin cotton, but I like the Hobbs when I want more loft.

Yes, I agree withPrism99 and the Hobbs 80/20. If you like the "puffed" look, you might try washing your quilt after you've bound it. To me that makes the quilting definition more noticeable.

The drape of bamboo batting is very nice. Wool batts definitely Poof more and don't get creases.

hobbs 80/20 or one of the wonderful Dream batts- my favorite is dream wool (the hobbs wool is very nice too) the wool batts are washable- do not shrink like cotton, are soft & lofty---make the coziest, fluffiest, most wonderful quilts!
many of the poly batts are also loftier & warmer than a cotton batt.
