How much time do you actually sew a day or week? It seems I am on the computer more and more and then have to spend the rest of my time trying to be Suzy Homemaker - BORING - I probably spend only about 2 hours a WEEK sewing.....in my mind it is much more......

I sew at least 4 hours per day. Some days, I sew for 10-12 hours, depending on hubby's schedule. If I have things that get in the way and don't get to my machine, I feel like I've neglected something very important. I think that is because it is so relaxing for me. It relieves the stress!

Not enough! I work full time and take care of everything in the house. I won't start sewing until the house is cleaned. (I know weird) I only get to sew about 10 hours a week.

Before this board 6-8 hours per day. I spend way to much time here, so it is 5-6 hours / day about 4 1/2 days a week. I'm retired so I keep my own schedule. The computer has definitely gotten in the way of many other things. I really try to dicipline myself but not to hard.

I feel I'm safe here (hubby laid off for winter) so if he's sitting in front of couch I feel I'm safe here or in front of machine at least machine I can SEE some progress!!

Me, too! There are VERY brief moments when I wish I hadn't found this board -- operative word = brief. :?

Now, today, I found out my adorable, generous, loving, talented DD has sent me a new laptop - being delivered from Best Buy today - for my birthday! So you know I'll have to be on here even more.....just to figure out the learning curve, of course.

I keep telling myself that the new one will not be broken like this one is, so I'll actually be able to close it and move it off the sewing table, maybe that will help. And it'll be a bit smaller so will take up less room.

That's the plan and I'm sticking to it. At some point.

I spend as much time as I can, sometimes all day. I major clean and do laundry once a week. It is only me, 10 yr old, and BF so it does not really get dirty. I have trained everyone to pick up after themselves. Then except for making dinner and dishes, I have the other 6 days to dedicate to sewing.
