yesterday in the mail I got a Hancocks of Paducah catalog. Pages and pages and pages of fabric collections. ooooohh! I poured over it last night and am looking at it again this morning. Now if I could just buy something! But I do get some fabric this coming weekend! A friend of mine at church who sews is cleaning out her stash. she was going to just send it to Goodwill and then she decided she's rather give it to people she knows will use it. So I get to go to her house Sunday and get some fabric. I'm taking some of the pinwheel blocks I'm working on for my boys quilts to show her and the knitting I've been trying. She is an excellent seamtress....I mean just amazing the clothing she can sew and she has just started knitting too. I'm looking forward to a few enjoyable hours!

ginnie - what a great time you will have! So much fun to get to look at new fabric and even better to bring it home for free!

Take me with you on your fabric shopping trip. I just love Hancock's in Paducah. Even though I live in Florida now, we make several trips to Indiana(where I'm originally from) and stop in Kentucky on the way so I can buy fabric. My husband is sooooooooo good to me.

wow, Ginnie, have fun at your generous friends house!
I love looking at the connecting threads catalog. Wonder how i could get the Hancocks of paducah. Maybe I'll check them out online later and after one little purchase I am sure the catalogs will start coming.
I just need some small pieces for an upcoming project.
oooh, it's so nice of your friend to share with you, and you get to show each other your things. have a blast sweetie!:-D

I got the catalog free online....I've not ordered from them before. I like that it shows you all the fabrics in the collection together. I am NOT good at putting colors together (my 10yo is better lol!) so this is a huge help to me.

I got the pattern on Friday and took it with to a Dr.'s appt. I just sat there and kept looking at the book and not at the time. I have bought from them before, and will be ordering more...when I have a bit more income...

One of the ladies in my group buys alot from H.of P. and I buy some myself. They have good sales and yes, they send a catalog with your order. I like to buy charms that they have on sale.
Since my friend buys so much they add extra yardage on her orders for free. I think it is when they have less than a yd left on a bolt.
