Default How to quilt this quilt?

I would be grateful for suggestions on how to quilt this quilt. I was going to do a wreath or other motif in the negative space, but I don't know what to do with the positive shapes so maybe I need to re-think the whole thing. Thanks in advance! http://www.craftsy.com/supplies/wind-kit-bliss/3188

I have no idea. I guess would depend upon your skill level.

You are right. The quilt does have a lot of negative space. I find those hard to deal with. Your idea of doing a wreath or motif in the negative space, especially if you use a thread color that will show up, will make or break that quilt. For the positive space, what about loopy stars or loopy flowers. I normally don't like STID, but this may be one of those quilts that will look really good with that.

I know....I didn't help at all. Just gave you more to think about. Please let us see what you do after you decide.

I liked the continuous design shown in the picture. Some sort of continuous design would be nice. I would not do anything straight because I like it when the quilting somewhat contrasts with the piecing design. If It's a geometric quilt, I like swirls quilted into it, etc.

I don't FMQ. And SITD is painful. I prefer to stitch around the ditch. Use a squiggly stitch and stitch over the ditch. I am unable to attach a picture :-(

I say go off the deep end and put small feathers in the positive space!

Well I'm pretty new but I would do a small stipple next to the colorful motifs to make them pop & then do a little line work or squiggles in the positive areas.
