thank jbj137 , for the saying that you placed on the board. I think that it so appropriate of a saying for quilters.

I would like to pass this along to my quilt group, so I am asking permission to do so. My e-mail address is; [email protected]. I would appreciate an answer, thank you. [email protected]

Finishing a fun quilt is all sweet and happy. It makes you yearn for more. Especially if the person receiving it is all gooey over it. LOL!

The same applies to some guilds.

I am not good with analogies, but my thought is;

Just as we have many types of ice cream we have many types of quilts, we do not expect one type to please everyone. As well there are many different ways of eating ice cream, from cones, to bowls, to sundaes, to banana splits, Milk Shakes, floats and even Baked Alaska. Just as there are many ways to enjoy quilting, from buying kits, participating in BOM, precuts, bold or subdued colours, traditional, modern, art, hand, machine or LA quilted.

The variety in ice cream and variety in quilting are equally valuable.

Just like the different styles of ice cream, there are different styles of quilts (traditional to modern). Traditional quilters would probably go for a banana split while modern quilters might go for a smoothie.

Speaking for those allergic to milk (or allergic to lactose) there better be.
