I am trying to learn how to set an inkjet image that has been transferred to purchased material sheets. I have already transferred it to the sheet but I need to determine how to set the image to be permanent. Someone please give me some idea!

Thanks,
Carolyn

Hi, there should be directions on the package that describes how to set the design into the fabric. Some you iron or use a store bought solution to set it in. Hope this helps!

Directions vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. You need to follow the instructions exactly to achieve permanency. Some of those purchased fabric sheets cannot be washed but only dry cleaned. Some require heat setting. Most require rinsing afer printing.

Hi! I cannot REALLY call myself a quilter. I have only accomplished one and it may be my only.....but it did turn out really nice.

Around the boarders I applied "framed" family pictures because I was afraid of the same worries and I did not want to ruin the quilt if they did not last. It has been 2 years and I have washed 4-5 times and I cannot see that there is ANY change in the quality of the pictures....Lela Hunt
